Oh, no!

At Grandma and Pepa's for Laura's (might I add beautiful) wedding, Isaac fell in love with Athena their Lab. Since we've returned home, Isaac's been obsessed with dogs. Yesterday we thought we would get him a goldfish. How we were foolish enough to think a goldfish would be a consolation is another topic. Anyway, we get to Petsmart and are looking at the goldfish, and Isaac every so gently and PERSISTENTLY keeps turning his daddy's face away from the fish and toward the dogs. We ended up leaving the store in tears--no fish, no dog. And now we are considering the lunacy of adopting a dog. Somebody stop us before it's too late. ;)

Go ahead, get a dog! We love our puppy. She's already cost us about $500, though, and we've only had her about a month.

Sorry Isaac...this Grandma votes NO!! Dogs smell and, even worse, they want to smell YOU, and in embarrassing places. AND, they have bad breath, AND they make a lot of noise, AND they have to go to the bathroom, AND they make it very hard to leave and go out of town. Seriously, Isaac, learn from the experiences of others; even at your age, you don't have time to learn everything from your OWN experience!!
